Cryptocoryne sp. "Flamingo" is a highly sought-after plant due to its unique coloration!

Cryptocoryne sp. "Flamingo" is a relatively new and uncommon Cryptocoryne mutation that is highly remarkable for the pink coloration of its submerged form. With proper care, it can maintain much of its pink coloration and be a highly stunning plant in the aquascape. It requires stable conditions, especially when newly established, but is not demanding otherwise.

Cryptocoryne sp. "Flamingo" is a slow-growing plant that requires low to moderate lighting. It should be placed in an area of the aquarium where it can be allowed to establish over time. Due to its wide natural range, it can adapt to a relatively wide variety of water parameters as long as it does not have to endure sudden changes. Like most Cryptocoryne species, it should be allowed plenty of time to “settle in” and should not be moved constantly. Once established, it will reproduce by sending runners that will grow into new plants.

CO2 supplementation is beneficial, but not necessary for this plant. It will also benefit from supplemental fertilizers and nutrient-rich substrate

This listing is for the tissue culture form of Cryptocoryne sp. "Flamingo." Tissue cultures are superior to traditional forms of aquarium plants in many ways. They are produced in a completely sterile environment which eliminates the possibility of them carrying pest snails or algae spores. They have a shelf life (before introduction to the aquarium) of several months if properly maintained and they are housed in a nutrient gel until introduced to the aquarium. To introduce a tissue culture plant to the aquarium, simply rinse off as much nutrient gel as possible, then plant as usual. The nutrient gel will not harm your aquarium.
